The Research

The most comprehensive record of Western press coverage of the late-Ottoman Christian genocides

Over two decades, tens of thousands of contemporary reports have been excavated, verified and curated — from The New York Times, The Washington Post and The Los Angeles Times to hundreds of other American newspapers.

  • 1890–1930, in sequence

Buried dispatches, eyewitness accounts and humanitarian relief data — including the plight of genocide orphans — organised chronologically into a structured evidentiary record.

  • Beyond 1915

Maps the broader continuity of regional conflict, extending to early 20th-century aggressions in Transcaucasia.

  • Against denial

Relying entirely on third-party, real-time American journalism, the work removes modern political bias and shows these atrocities were recognised as they occurred.
